A BRIEF HISTORY OF SHIRLEYWORLD - The Madness Journals
Chapter XXIII

Some time ago I posted some comments in "A Brief History..." about how Sgt. MacHardly (now I hope you remember that we call him MacHardly because he "Hardly" ever fights a prisoner who is not handcuffed and I believe he is 6 and 2 fighting handcuffed prisoners) and some other real oxygen waters had locked themselves in a prisoner's cell and gave him an 'attitude adjustment'. Well this guy was in the hole and could not advocate for himself. I sent a letter to the DOC internal affairs office (this is where they send the biggest bottom feeders in the department and the even have an 'electronic communications' task force over there who read these blocks and look at facebook etc. - Hey fellas, 'F You!') and told them about the beating. I was interviewed 'on tape' about the incident by the Superintentend's Investigator at the time Sgt. 'Fiendly'. He made it seem like he cared, but this ain't Big Tim's first rodeo and I know very well he would have joined in on the beating if he was there. I only made this complaint because I knew they would have to interview MacHardly and that he would get the message that not everybody was afraid to complain in this system. Well, that all took place close to a year ago and this week I received a letter from our Superintendent, 'The Boot', and she stated that after a thorough investigation (I guess it was torough cause it took a year!) my claimes were determined to be 'unfounded'. Now that is a shocker! Who would have thunk it that the fox would find no problems after the murder in the chicken coop. Yes, a real shocker. Now here is the real dope on the situation: MacHardly had a few other complaints against him (I personally filed two [2] others) and the cumulative effect of these complaints made his boot-dung supervisors reassign him from operations to HSU sargeant where he can now not only abuse handcuff cons but may rack up a few wins beating up old men and cripple invalids. You can't win for losing in this system but you can bet your bottom dollar that when MacHardly messes up we will be there to file these complaints and maybe they will reassign him to a post in hell where he belongs!

We now have a new Director of (mis)Treatment here at Shirleyworld. Almost a year after they demoted DOT Brokenman they have hired a Deputy Denied O sycophant (she used to work with Denied-Oh at MCI Conrod where Denied-Oh ruined lives for close to 20 years!) to wear the Crown of Queen of Mistreatment. We are going to call this new burden on the taxpayer DOT Lurking as I am certain she will be lurking around the bowels of the prison listening to the echoes of Deputy Denied-Oh's hatred. Now I am not judging her prematurely, I will give her a chance to show us if she is cut from a different cloth than the purple cloth of privilage that most DOC employees are hacked from, but I have been around for too long to hold out any hope that someone who steals their green from the state through the ATM machine that is the DOC will ever care about public safety or human dignity. If she knew the evil that lays in the heart of Deputy Denied-Oh while they worked together at MCI Concord, and still took the job working with that pitchfork weilding SeaHag, then I think we can place our head between our legs and kiss our arse if we think 'treatment' options here will improve. My dear friend Fish had shown DOT Lurking the 'no interest' posting Denied-Oh had maliciously concieved and told her, 'You going to get a lot of flack for this.' Her reply was 'I'm already aware of the situation.' Now both Fish and I feel that the 'situation' is ME and that Denied-Oh, Director Plus-Size (someone recently called Director Plus-Size 'that pregnant lady' and I told them that if she is pregnant she has been pregnant since I got here in 2011!) and The Boot have briefed her on the activities of myself and some others and I hope she knows that we will fight for what we have coming harder than any cons she has ever encountered in her career, and with some unorthodox means! The men I work with do absolutely nothing wrong: we don't drink, we don't drug, we don't gamble, we don't commit crimes, but prison officials brand some of us as the worst of the worst becayse we NEVER stop seeking what we have coming; A SECOND CHANCE AND REAL REHABILITATION!!!

The Boot took another one of her numerous vacations last week. If you ever really knew how good these suit wearing fools have it you would be outraged. They have numerous weeks of fully paid vacation, numerous sick days, personal days, maternity leave (even for men, but it might be appropriate because many of them act like bitches) and all kinds of other 'parties' and 'wellness activities' that leave us locked in our cages while they eat and drink on the public dime. While The Boot was on vacation Deputy McCan't took over. Now this dude is an old school ShirleyWorld layabout; he was on the ground floor of turning this place into the infamous ShirleyWorld which basically just means this is the worst prison in the state: highest drug use, highest alcohol use, highest recidivism rate and the biggest bunch of do-nothing suits and loser guests assembled on one plantation. Now McCan't took it upon himself to answer ALL the letters, grievance appeals, and matters that the Boot had pending in her 'in' file. Now he did this the last time he was 'acting' 'Super' (no you can never know just how funny those prison slang terms are to us. He is the consumate 'Actor' and he is anything but 'Super' unless you characterize him as a 'Super' waste of taxpayer dollars. Now the reason McCan't does this is because he cannot risk The Boot possibly making a humane decision. You seem Deputy McCan't is a real con hater and cares little about right or wrong. He cares only about picking up that wheelbarrow full of cash that you guys pay him for perpetuating a failed system. McCan't figured out a long time ago that he makes his money off of the return to prison of cons and he does everything within his power to ensure their return. He instills prisoners with such anger and hatred, with such distrust of the system and ire toward authority that they will undoubtedly return to these circles of hell. I'm calling McCan't bluff, as are many of my associates. We will NEVER let him win. We care NOT AT ALL about his decisions or rulings. We will watch him carefully, and when he screws up, and he surely will as he is a screw up at heart, we will be tere to run his failure up the flagpole. Your tax dollars pay Deputy McCan't to CREATE future crime: and boy oh boy is he good at it. He is part of that DOC 'Good Ole Boy' network that co-signs each other's screw ups, covers up each other's abuse, and meets in covens to planw ays to create job security through ever higher recidivism rates. Upton Sinclair once said, 'It is difficult to get a man to understand something if his salary depends on him not understanding it.' Deputy McCan't embodies this.

As you are aware, the men of the Catholic Community here at the prison have been fighting a battle to keep our Chapel open when we have a Catholic Priest coming in and when our programs are in operation. We contacted the Catholic League and last week they contacted DOC officials to advocate for us. As is always the case with the DOC our community was immediately retaliated againt. That same Sunday they 'posted' guards out in front of the Chapel entrance (it looked like a line up of freaks at the County Fair Midway) and patted all the Church-goers down as they entered the Chapel. Nothing is more indicative of just who the DOC is than this. Men who seek to change their lives through the Church are harrassed because they sought help to keep their Chapel open. Now I was patted down by SO 'Smeagle' as this guy could be placed in Madame Toussard's wax museum as the 'Smeagle' character from Lord of the Rings and believe me all the ticket buying museum goes would be fooled. I even thought I heard him whipser 'My Previous' as he patted me down. The real funny thing about it is that I was walking with our Chaplain, the Artful Dodger, when I got patted down, but as always the Dodger dodged any comment about the situation. He is 75% cop and 25% deacon so he almost always taked the oxygen wasters' side. Smeagle and his cohorts did this on the orders of some higher ups, for sure, and you can bet it more than likely trickled down from Denied-Oh, but it also may have been Deputy McCan't as he 'McCan't' pass up an opportunity to retaliate and he was 'acting' 'Super' at the time. For sure some pointed tailed, dual horned, evil jailer was pissed off becauses we got the Catholic League involved and decided to ruin our service. I am very pleased to report that the service was great, we called their bluff again, and we worshipped with Honor and Glory. That power will step on the snake-heads of Denied-Oh and McCan't every time!

I got a 'Prisoner Survey' from 'Prisoner's Legal Services' (that name pisses me off as they do NOT serve prisoners) and I was not too happy. You see their director, Ms. Leslie Walker, commiserates with the enemy (she has actually driven a former commissioner of correction, Kathleen Dennehy to 'reform' meetings in the Boston area - even though Ms Dennehy was a 'defendant' in cases where PLS was the 'plaintiff' - unbelievable conflict of interest) and when the PRISONER organised and PRISONER directed CURE ARM sought her endorsement she opted out, critized our plans to Rally at the DOC headquarters, and basically showed that control freak attitude she is known for in the reform circles. Following this posting you will find a copy of my response to Ms Walker. In a few short years myself and some of my hard-charging cohorts will be out there and attending these 'reform' meetings. No longer will PLS and Ms. Walker be able to 'comprimise' and 'discuss' our rights away. She will be held accountable through the public outing of her failure to serve the prisoner. Men lay dying here in the HSU and Ms Walker 'discusses' with a former DOC employee (who signed off on numerous false investgative reports) how 'they' can help us. Is she f-ing kidding???
