Redemption, Ltr. 33

They got me trapped on this peculiar institution farm "the Texas 7" escaped from, where there is no unity, doing time around a bunch of ignorant racist foolz, who don't know how to mind they own business, not having anything better to do, but to tell unbelievable lies, preaching prejudice hate, an' finding ways to scheme on the next person into fighting, extortion, or to engage in homosexuality, has always been Texas history of what goes on, that is still relevant today, as you can't trust a correctional officer, looking to lie, steal, cheat, & destroy a prisoner's property on a regular basis, an' get away with murdering a prisoner in handcuffs, where the prisoners in Texas are joining prison gangs for protection or so they can carry out criminal acts, an' scared to uprise against the injustices were are faced with, when these correctional officers is supposed to try rehabilitating us prisoners into correcting our lives in bringing down the recidivism, but instead act more corrupt than the prisoners behind bars, by organizing they own officer gangs to keep us enduring the hardships of not making it out of an oppressed system, where in Texas we is, not getting paid to work, not getting care packages, and not allowed to have nothing but a $5 dollar radio you can buy at a dollar store, so that us prisoners can't receive any vital information we need to know, as you see prisoners trusting correctional officers, before they believe another prisoner, not seeing the divide & conquer tactics they use, so that us prisoners is always at each other's throats, by not coming together to see how we're being set-up, because nobody in this Texas prison system can be trusted, as segregation still goes on in the South, an' I view the millions of blacks & Latinos entering prisons who have no clue of they history & culture, or how the system wants us to fail, in not being able to return to our families, because they feel that prison is a rite of passage or badge of honor, to brag about being incarcerated, an' to not learn nothing they entire time locked up, getting back out into the world, messing around with the same group of individuals, an' end up coming back to prison with more prison time, than they first did, because today's youth don't feel it's necessary to overcome these obstacles we have been faced in our lives, by breaking the chains of us all repeating to wanna make our own lives harder than what it already is, because these correctional officers is only out to mess us over in lying about everything that we do, hindering our parole...
