William (Bill) Clinton A Destroyer of Morality Receives America's Highest Civilian Award
In today's society, I've learned to pay very close attention to what I see and all I hear. This point is of utmost importance when it comes to the actions and the spoken words of our elected officials. While I heard Mr. Obama profess a desire years ago to bring much needed changes to the political landscape of this nation if he was elected president, I've sat and watched as he's surrounded himself—i.e. included in his administration—with individuals who have less than honorable histories in politics. There are several names I'm sure come to mind, one of which is Bill Clinton.
A few months ago during a gala event (at taxpayer's expense) Mr. Obama bestowed America's highest civilian award to 16 people, and ole Bill Clinton was among that group.
Wow. This is the same Bill Clinton—if you don't recall or don't care to recall—that turned that big White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue into a whorehouse and morally degraded the office of the Presidency of the United States in unparalleled ways. How then must we ask did Mr. Obama decide this dishonest, womanizing, saxophone playing, pot-smoking follow to be a worthy recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom? Isn't this award reserved for recognizing "exceptional individuals" who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors?"
Bill Clinton's receipt of this particular award cheapens the prestige many people have been led to believe the award warrants. But not anymore.
For those of you reading this, it's worthy to take a close look at Bill Clinton's "especially meritorious contribution to America" from his days as Governor of Arkansas up to and including his reaching and reaping havoc on the White House and the people of this nation through his domestic policies that includes but is not limited to Clinton signing into law 1.) the most oppressive juvenile crime bill in the history of Amerika; 2.) the Prison Litigation Reform Act (PLRA); and 3.) the present limitations placed on habeas corpus relief available to citizens of this nation. You be the judge and decide if Clinton deserves the award.
Mr. Lakeith Amir-Sharif
