Donald Trump's Tipping Point
Mike Flynn resigned because he had an unauthorized conversation with the Russian ambassador.
Kellyanne Conway was referred for sanctions because of ethics violations.
A public meeting was held to discuss North Korea's launching of a missile.
Controversial cabinet appointments — including one being withdrawn.
Leaks about chaos in the White House.
Right—wing extremist Steve Bannon placed on the security counsel.
Numerous vacancies in key government positions.
Immigrant ban stopped by the federal court.
Failure to take action on Russia's violation of 1980s era missile treaty.
Most recently, an angry and insulting press conference.
Every day, it becomes more apparent to non—Trump supporters how unsuited Trump is for the job he now holds. Yet his supporters staunchly stand behind him claiming to like everything he is doing.
I predict there will come a day when the Republicans in Congress will reach the tipping point where they realize they are better off without him than with him. All they need is one issue serious enough to justify impeaching him. If they stop to think about it, dumping Trump will benefit them more than it will benefit Democrats. They'll have Mike Pence in the White House — a reliably conservative ideologue who will not embarrass them. As much as I dislike Mike Pence, he would be a step up from an irrational, delusional egomaniac.
