I am addressing a serious matter here at the Avery-Mitchell Correctional Institute (#4680) where it is plain and clear that certain staff members are discriminating against transgenders and deliberately placing them in harm's way.

This camp is designated as a hub of some sort to accommodate transgenders whom are taking medicine to aide in their transition. Also, they are given the chance to receive clothing in accordance to their gender identity.

I am personally associated with one transgender person, and she was under my watch since September 2018. That is, I've been somewhat like a guardian to keep hounds off of her and to keep her from being preyed upon by hostiles.

Well, about a week or two ago, on 1/1/2019, a Sgt [see note] decided he was gonna move this person to another block. To split up us, per se. I offered to move myself because, in this block, she was safe and stable. She knew people and would be okay. And I'm gonna be okay wherever I go! This Sgt. and his staff said no and moved the 24 year old transgender instead. And in less than a week, three people approached this kid inappropriately to seek sexual favors! When she was with me in this block, she never faced such uncanny solicitations!

So this Sgt., as well as his staff, have deliberately placed this kid's well-being in jeopardy! They go around telling guys that there is a transgender, homosexual, etc. coming to their block and lets their chosen bullies prey upon this marked person. This is blatant and deliberate indifference and completely unprofessional!

So what needs to be done is people out there need to contact the proper people in order to stop people like [this Sgt. and his] staff, [see note], [see note], etc. from deliberate and malicious indifference. Someone will be hurt in many ways by the evil actions of these individuals and their unethical conduct.

I am a target because I dare to stand up for what's right, and I am sure that there will be retaliation. However, it is document and, come what may, people will know that I did the right thing and the actions of these officers will be documented. Retaliations will be known as deliberate and malicious intent.

Wrong is wrong, no matter what color clothes one wears. Just because someone is titled an officer does not mean that they have the right to endanger the lives of those under their supervision, especially those whom are weak and different. Where is the professionalism, the ethical conduct? Who might I ask are the real monsters here?

Note: If I am contacted on a personal level, I will—without hesitation—give all the names of these COs and the Sgt.
