Charles,

There is not a shred of doubt that Parchman must be closed. So how to do that? I believe the governor should form a special commission to study the profiles of each inmate of the entire MDOC system, to determine which inmates can receive clemency and early release. This release should be 120% of the number of inmates at Parchman. Following an orderly early release, those Parchman inmates should be moved within the state, and empty that place for closure. Existing CO's should be compensated FAIRLY to remove incentives to earning dirty money. RICO cases against individuals should be moved to the federal system to lower inmate on inmate violence.

You know I received a snail mail from one fella that said...do people really read BTB? I'm convinced that like me, they do...but what do they do with the info? If the blogger is not given feedback, it is one way communication. And if it is one way communication, the blogger, in defeat, thinks no one cares. When in actuality, people do care but do not know what to say. If you are on the OUT and read these blogs...please comment, if only to express your support and prayers. Unless you have been on the IN, you cannot understand what simple support means to those with little hope. This is the song I am singing people...please sing along. FJP
