Subject: Do the math - Idiot !!
We are in a semi lock-down status here to prevent, hopefully, the C-virus from hitting our small 280+ population in this facility. In about an hour it will be my turn to go outside on the yard for some fresh air and exercise. It is cold and raining, and expecting snow, but I am anxious to get our for a bit and stretch my legs.
So I am listening to the local radio station (Kewanee) trying to get a feel for the weather. Getting caught in a cold downpour would not be a good way to spend my afternoon.
This "idiot" on the radio... (God, forgive me, but I cannot think of a better description) is harping about the great "overreaction" blah-blah-blah... Comparing the numbers to the 2009 Swine Flu. Yes, it is true that over 55 million Americans were infected and 200,000+ were hospitalized and over 11,000 died from the Swine Flu.
Do the math !!!!
Yes, America only has a few hundred dead...BUT...
In China, Italy, Spain, and Iran, the numbers dying from Corona Virus is between 9-10%.
Are you f#$*ing blind! Or just stupid!
Stop being in denial! Yes, it is a scary prospect, but God help us and pray we keep this thing down to 1 or 2%...
God help us if we wind up with the same 50 million as in the Swine Flu, but with a 9% death rate.
Please people, get real. Remain calm, we will be fine and get through this stronger, but get with reality...do the math. We MUST sacrifice our selfish desires for the greater good.
