Think B4 u Act 1981 / Jessica C.E. 8:16 P.M.
1 Thurs.
Jessica C.E.,
I received and read
your very powerful reply to
my article on homosexuality.
I appreciate your views - Thank you.
First of all, I want you to
understand that T.V., newspapers, magazines,
billboard, and now Internet/technology are
all devices used to promote ideas(i.e.,
in addition to its entertainment phase);
Rather or not those ideas may be corrupt,
perverse, or even positive, is quite a
different matter. The point is, is that
you can promote something via T.V., and
actually turn people ? to it. E.g.,
take some of these famous
restaurants; They promote this image of
all of this delicious food, right?
O.K., just recently sociologists have
found that this act of flashing hamburgers,
burritos, ect.. across the screen (so often)
is a direct connection to the growing
epidemic of obesity in the U.S.A.
People see it, they want to try it.
I believe that it is mentally unhealthy
to expose very young people to homosexuality.
This is no disrespect; it is just my
opinion, based on the knowledge that
I have of psychology and sociology.
To further my opinion, I believe
that who a person chooses to
"sleep" with is - indeed - that person's
business - Just so long as it's
consensual and lawful. A different way
of putting it, I don't have a problem
with someone being gay; But do that
- Gay - person have a right to coerce
this behavior on society?
That's where I differ. I think
that what ones does in the
privacy of one's own home is
legit. However, for the health
of society, certain laws should
exist. E.g., there are laws
against selling and using cocaine,
yet in that act, there is no
actual crime or victim. Think
about it. So, than, why do
they have anti-cocaine laws?
They are designed to help assure
PUBLIC SAFETY. to close this
thought, there's no NEED to
know who someone is interested
in sexually, or even what someone's
sexual preference is; so,
why choose to make something
like that KNOWN? I teach
my daughter that homosexuality is a great
sin. And that it is diabolical.
Many astute, and befuddled politicians try
to say that homosexuality is a civil
rights issue. I looked at that "angle"
long and hard. I just couldn't agree.
African-Americans struggle for equal
rights as human beings were/are
based on the fight against racism.
A person can't choose what race
they belong to. Plus, sex was
never the issue. I just believe
that, as a whole, American
society is crumbling.
Peace.
