How Can Homosexuality Be Good For America???

Lisa Heard,

I received your latest blog. It was very interesting. Let me start from the top, I am actually writing an autobiography on my life (1), Also, I'm writing a fictitious book (2). What I do is WRITE. I write about a wide range of things: sports, music, social issues, you name it. As far as the homosexual issue, I wanted to get deep on the subject. This way I learn more. My intent was not "hatred" or to "judge". I know that to be a good, quality writer one needs insight. That's the extent of it. Now, you were/are helping when you transcribe. That's a good thing, right there. And I appreciate it much. From a different angle, as a writer, when one can actually affect people with their writing, it says one is a decent writer. I did not make the world the way it is, but I have every right to write about my thoughts and feelings - just like you do. What I can say to you is, try not to take things too far. Try to look at things from more then just one angle. This type of approach will allow you to appreciate life's gives and takes a lot better. Over time I've learned a lot about you - based on what you say - you seem to be a smart young lady. That's good, though. But keep growing - as far as wisdom - because that is what's going to allow you to understand that people will not always agree. Some one that disagree with you doesn't necessarily make that person your enemy. You understand? You can gain A LOT of knowledge by calmly finding out why the difference exist.

As for me, I don't hate human beings. I am a human being. Many people say "I don't like so and so". Yet when one really think about it, it's not that person they hate. It's actually a thing, act, or behavior about that individual that they hate. Truth is, to hate a human being is to hate one's own self. There's no difference. "Rape". "Innocent population". My young friend, you'll be shocked and surprised if you knew how North America, South America and the Caribbean was established. Me, I read tons of history. I know all about why Black Americans are so many different complexions. Some people believe North America is stolen land. Did you know that? Some say North America (USA) is actually a colony. Did you know that? Suppose you have 90% of indigenous people feeling like encroachment had been committed. Then who would - really - be the "innocent population"? And what about the Tuskugee experiment? It went on for four decades. So, what really defines "the innocent population"? You tell me. Have you ever read a book called A Brief History of the Arawak? I bet you'll find it interesting. Over the years the word "ignorant" has become a negative word. It only means one is NOT aware of something. That's all it means. "Prejudice" you many have a point there but it's Bibles, and Qur'ans that has influenced the world over, i.e. in the last few thousand years. And just think (deeply), if you don't think "prejudice" is right (against the act of homosexuality), then, how do you deal with the religious source(s) that influence people to hold these positions of "hatred" and "prejudice"? You would have to make religion illegal. What do you think? Now as a writer, I wrote about it. As a result, I took a beating from you. But I'm trying to show you how this situation, in order for it to be successful, has to convince the people that it's right. I'm not the one in the way. I'm only a writer. Although I did express my authentic thoughts and feelings. My objective was to get a non-religious view. Well what's your view on China - possibly - being the richest country in the world???

Lisa Heard,

I had to come back and say a few more things to you. I read your blog a few more times. Something keeps jumping out at me. You said "... I just don't thing being hateful, ignorant or prejudice is right". I was looking at those choice of words, "hateful", "ignorant", "prejudice". All words that nobody wants slapped on them as a label. I suspect that you are no older then 23. Which means that you are still at the influential stage of your mental development. It could be possible that some one or some source (newspaper, TV program, etc) might just be manipulating YOU. You know how you said "... in this case I felt I was helping to spread your hatred and felt guilty"? You called my post "hatred". That's a very ugly word. The Qur'an say if you lend a had to evil you share a part in that evil. And you want to know something? It makes NO exceptions. Men (meaning us human beings) are surely in loss, except for us ones who pray and ask God for forgiveness. My young friend, transcribing my article was nothing to feel guilty about. It was surely NOT the spreading of hatred. It was the truth. Men (meaning us human beings) can surely mislead us. Can surely have us thinking all good is actually all evil and all evil is actually all good.

I got a chance to see how you are when you're happy, and calm. You enjoy helping people - that's a wonderful traitmark. Then I got a chance to see how you are when you're ANGRY. You, yourself become full of "hatred". What's strangely ironic about it is, you're not even that way at all. I feel blessed to have met you. Because life, to me, is a journey (full of trial and tribulation). And if I can journey across the earth, and every now and then, stumble across a precious jewel, I'm content. I want you to guard yourself better (I mean your morals), and don't allow people to manipulate you to the point where you become a "token". You have a heart of gold, but if you don't guard it, you'll soon have a cold heart. You see, all humans beings have 3 aspects that makes them complete. Physical (1), Spiritual (2), and Mental (3); Go to your spiritual base sometimes. You've heard me, you've heard others. Now, go to your spiritual base, and read a Bible or Qur'an and see what God is saying. Then, young precious jewel, I bet you will not feel guilty.

Peace
Al-Amin Akbar
