Hey Aubrey, I really want to thank you for all the nice things you said about my writing. I am feeling better but it's hard to get past being sexually assaulted and having guards blatantly ignore my pleas for help. I'm not generally the kind of person who stays mired in misery but the shit I'm going through is pretty much the same kind of stuff I am but who have even less of a chance to defend themselves than I do. If it's not too much trouble I would really appreciate it if you could get the guide sent to me, I have wrote to them myself but got no response. :( I truly enjoy writing but you have to send submissions to publishers typed only and the cheap typewriters the state of Texas sells us are over $200.00 :( And the ribbons are over $8.00 each. I can't imagine getting sexually assaulted and then no one being there to help you! That is aweful. I get that you are in prison and I don't know what you did to get there... but just because you are in prison doesn't mean you lose your human rights! That is so sad! Is there not someone you can go to other than the correctional officers???
The prison system sounds scary!
