Dear East Coast;
I really hope everyone can pull through, rebuild and keep up our pioneering American spirit! Nature is a cruel trickster, but keep in mind she is objective.
No, God did not get tired of midwestern trailer parks and decide to attempt to annihilate you. Storms happen. Let's remember "The Perfect Storm" a couple of decades ago. Also the hurricane that destroyed the New England coast back in the 60's.
I'm (fortunate?) out west - There is no "Earthquake Season" - they just happen. You all now suffer but you also have early warning. There is, I hope, comfort in that knowledge.
I'd like to be there with you now, helping with your recovery effort and contributing for the betterment of utility delivery, (re)construction, and more.
You all work hard and no one deserves what's happened. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I do want you all to find comfort in your time of need.
You have tragedy, but also FANTASTIC opportunity. The rebuilding can be good for the economy, the ecology and the future. Real and positive change is in your grasp. Use it!
May comfort find you and keep you.
