"Blogging for Human Rights Day: Let's talk About us,"
Greetings Comrades! How are you doing? I'm fine at this moment. And grateful to join the conversation since I've been in this Criminal injusttice System counting "nine years now". I've witnessed a number of failures and not many victories, the recent abuse was an inmate here got refused his breakfast meal. The security staff maced this inmate through the cell door food flap about four or five times because he refused to cuff up and come out of the cell.
They tried to place him on Property Restriction for some apparent reason. He still wouldn't come out of that cell. They then called about ten officers with black vests and helmets on and with clear shields in front of them. They asked him again to cuff up and come out of that "cell". But to no avail! They rolled the cell door and rushed in on the inmate and literally beat him half to death. When it was over he couldn't stand straight up, This doesn't only need to be discussed, it needs some action taken upon it. These malicious acts are done to a lot of African-American males here only because we are the largest race incarcerated. And, it's covered up the majority of the time because of no outside support from loved ones or friends. We all have experienced some type of injustice in settings like this, whether it be verbal or physical. Let me explain. I've never been jumped on physically, but I've been refused my meals in the past. It's awful. I had my incoming mail given to other inmates intentionally on Property Restriction twice. That's real humiliation. I had all my personal property thrown away by security staff because they're plain EVIL to inmates for "no reason at all". It's a cycle inside this poor environment we're housed in temporarily but my thing is this: when will it stop?
