I'll try to get this brief note done tonight and hopefully it'll go out tomorrow. The site wasn't down but they were a little behind - I had communication with one of the admins - there's definitely a lag somewhere. The date on your page is 12/21/15 - it was added today (2/7/16) That is ok if it's regular - I've been worried since I haven't seen anything. I'm glad you're seeing the psychiatrist - I agree that you need to face and accept all of your past actions before you can move forward. I have some strong opinions about some of the causes - it will be interesting to see if you come to some of the same conclusions. Those won't be something we'll discuss here, for sure!! Cella announced on Facebook today that she's getting married - not sure what the date for that is - the reception will be July 30th. His name is Tom - I know nothing else about him :) I love you - gotta go so this will be done - and so I can get to bed. I've got a sinus infection and bronchitis - been sick a couple of weeks now - I'm better than I was but I'm still sleeping sitting up Keep posting - I check just about every day :)
Hi there Donnie, and thank you for getting back at me. And a Happy New Year! lol :-) I was surprised that it took so long to get an answer from you, but that's ok anyway - I think Between The Bars are doing a great job no matter what, even it takes a long time. Lots of inmates are posting to this site, and Between The Bars are just a company with volunteers that are doing this on their free time outside their jobs, family and whatever. I mean, at least they're doing something for you inmates - it's quite awesome. It's a way for you to reach out to the outer world, and without this you wouldn't had anything. Some inmates even have an email option, how awesome isn't that?! Well, unfortunately, I found that California is one of the state's that does not have this option, among a few other states - too sad actually. But I'll try to get back at you when I'm able to. I'm sorry, english is not my language, so please apologize if my spelling is wrong or if the sentences are looking weird.. hehe, hopefully you'll understand what I mean anyway. You take good care now and keep your head high! :-)
This man has been being held captive by scumbags. What they are doing is showing the remainder of the prison system in this country how to hold a mans ownership papers. IOW, tehy are slaveholders... The last two paragraphs of this document summarize the exact nature of the evil that our prison system has become. It's my firm belief that our fucked up prison system is what has created our sick society, not the other way around.
Not only am I going to be writing to Ronald for company, but I'm going to be working on my next letter to the MA Senate, the Governor, the house of Representatives, the MDOC commish, and the wardens of every state prison in MASSACHUSETTS as well as Asst US attorney Betsy Jivisden. The people who have broken their promises to Ronald are nothing more than modern day SLAVEHOLDERS, and I am about to let the world know that. I hope they're ready. Unlike the last letter I wrote to them where they requested an 'interview' ('how to cover your ass in 2 easy steps') to follow up what I had to say, they cannot do it this time, and I will require ANSWERS from them, not the other way around.... When the justice system in this country put my kid in prison, they unleashed a Lioness. I have a big mouth, and a bigger pen. Fuck them. I'm in the mood for a fight and they're about to get one. The MDOC are going to be sorry they ever met me. Black December, January, February, March.... p.s. I still talk to Sean Swain.
David, I am so heartbroken to hear that your petition was denied. You know you have many people that were (and still are) rooting for and supporting you. And we will all still be there when you eventually get released. We can only hope that the rest of your sentence goes quickly for you so that you can take your experience and do something positive with it.
We made our move and it was successful. We visit with my dad several times a week now. JM is now engaged and they visit us with their daughter often. The cousins love hanging out. We had lots of family over for a nice Christmas week. Our transition has been fairly smooth though lots of hard work (downsizing is draining, what to keep and what to throw out can be exhausting), but the kids are finally settling in to the big changes now.
I know this event is a huge setback for you, and no words can change that. Unfortunately, no doubt there are political attachments to the decision here, to make such a political statement in pardoning a man who's been written about in Time Magazine. We can only hope this was a hard decision for them to make.
Remember that these events do not define you but lead you on your path and purpose.
I recall a letter you sent me around 1990- 1992, from France. You spoke about the smell of the flowers, the beautiful accent heard in the women, and you expressed an excitement and delight for life. I can't find the letter, but the impression has stuck with me for 25 years. I hope that you will be able to find that again when you are released.
