Why do you vote for the people you vote for? Do you vote for them because they are running under the same party you're a member of? Do you vote for them because of the celebrities that back them? Do you vote for them because of their appearance? Do you vote for them because of the promises they make? Or are you one of the rare people who vote for someone because of the accomplishments of their past political career? Do you realize that all the above reasons are comparable to treason?
You should vote for the people that you believe will truly do the best job for the country. All the previous reasons are responsible for the shape of our country. You should investigate their past histories, both political and personal, of everyone you are considering casting your vote for.
If you don't do this, you either abstain from voting or admit, at least to yourself, that you are surrendering the future out of pure laziness. Think about it.
