God's Hedge of Protection

Hello, everyone.

As you know, there are some guys in my section who have been trying to cause me trouble by talking bad about me. I think they are doing it because I openly worship God and because I'm gay. Well, last night two of my Christian brothers and I were studying the Bible and talking about how God is helping us with our shortcomings. These dudes were pretty worked up and were being loudly passive-aggressive towards me all night. But I was concentrating on The Father. They were wrestling with each other and throwing cold water on each other for hours.

Close to rack time, Mercer, the big guy who has been trying to get people to help him actually jump me, came around the table we were at. He hadn't been by our table at all until then. One of his flunkies came behind him with a bottle of water. About fifteen seconds passed and nothing happened. All three of us noticed them around but didn't pay attention because we were about God's business. Mercer loudly told the other guy, "Don't spray me now or I'll beat your ass, ho."

Once we were put up for the night, God allowed me to realize what had happened. The guy with the water was supposed to throw water on the three of us, pretending he was going after Mercer. God wouldn't let him, and he also kept us from understanding the plot until we were in for the night. Glory to God. He protected us from a threat we didn't know was there. I immediately started praying, thanking God for protecting us from the enemy's plots, for protecting us from the persecuting me, and for protecting them from us. I prayed for over an hour and, every time I thought I was done, I started over.

Brothers and sisters, if you love the Lord, He has your back. Greater is he who lives in me than he who is in the world. God bless you and keep you all the days of your life.
