Essay
DARK COMPLEXION/LIGHT COMPLEXION (DOES IT MATTER)?
4-25-12
Music plays through my Ross headphones, but my mind is locked in on these thoughts that as a chils I never felt would play a part in the way life has turned out...
But, then I was lost to the true history of the colored complexion race. But the more I study the more reality comes clear... I mean race comes down to light skin or dark skin and not just black or white.
Think of your school days when the darker skinned people would jump on white or lighter skinned people! They said that the lighter complexion were house negros and too soft (weak) to claim their race. A lot of them folded, but I've met some of the strongest light complexion people that will run circles around the best in an area. I've also read on the greatest such as Huey Newton, George Jackson and all the way up to Mr Barack Obama.
So they are not what so many people claim. Yet there is a split, why? They say dark skinned people are full or anger, rage and use violence against the lighter skinned people in the world, because they feel they've had the roughest side of the coin. But we fall under Afro-American culture. The skinned come from the rappen[?] of African slaves point blank. So shouldn't they too hole again to know that down the line their grandmother of so long again was violated in the worst way. So does it matter? My answer is not really! I mean I'm not dark, I'm not light either, so where's my complexion come into this madness? I've had both light and dark. But light skinned are more soft-hearted to others (kinder) and darker skinned are just more meaner. But a good heart can be found in both and that's what matters. Love, trust, understanding and goodness matters in my book. But (in bed) I love that black stallion jumping in the doll... hahaha
So does it matter to you?
