Hip-Hop Culture
May 25, 2011
This is a way of life for mankind in general. It's been around before I was born, and it's well respected by those who take part in it. Plus, others who understand it.
Hip-hop is known throughout the world. Does everyone accept it? No, but that doesn't stop nothing.
The hip-hop culture is many different things, meaning our clothes, pants, shirt, shoes, etc. Music, meaning rap. I got a favorite rapper. His name is Shawn Corey Carter, B.K.A. Jay-Z. His music motivates me. It lets me know I can go on with life.
He's sexy to me. It doesn't matter what happens, good or bad. he owns his own clothing line, Roca Wear, Cologne 91X. He has a restaurant up in New York. He has a strong business mind.
He's married to Beyonce. It's been over three years now, no children yet.
Jay-Z is from Brooklyn, New York, Marcy Projects. He was underground rapping before hitting the scene. In the early '90s he later formed The Firm with Foxy Brown, Nasir Jones, that fell apart due to competing against one another.
Then he hooked up with Damon Dash and a silent partner to perform Roc-a-Fella Records. He brought Partner A board Memphis, Bleek (homeboy) from New York.
He used to sell illegal drugs back in the day. He owns a BIG percentage of the New Jersey Mets basketball team. He's in the process of moving it to Brooklyn, New York.
His new record label is called Roc Nation. He owns a chain of nightclubs called 40/40.
No, I don't think hip-hop is dead. I think the real people that lived it is dead. The original folks that lived in today's society, the new generation, is still living ti as we speak. They doing it through fashions, music, lifestyles, etc. I don't think it will ever actually be dead.
It's a billion dollar corporation that gets stronger every year. Plus, someone will always be here on Earth to carry it on.
Like Jay-Z, T.I., Busta Rhymes, Gucci Mane, Lil' Wayne, Soulja Boy, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Nikki Minaj, and there's so many more. The hip-hop culture will stay ALIVE.
I'm open to any opinions and comments.
