Hurt

Hurt—where were you when I was going through the pain?
as I looked out the window, it began to rain.
Hurt—you told me you was my friend.
Someone who would last until the end.
Hurt—is something I don't endure too well.
Just look at me, you can tell.
Hurt—is not good.
I believe it got something to do with our hood.
Hurt—is something we all face
So it has nothing to do with race.
Hurt—can cause a lot of danger
from an unknown stranger.
Hurt—will make us weak
On top of that, we want to be able to speak.
Hurt—is a sign of depression
In this awful recession.
Hurt—will make you become so cold.
We'll begin to act so bold.
