Nicki,
Thank you for your support & for caring about the issues that plague our society. I believe that if more people came out and got involved, like they did for Pres. Obama's campaign, things would change. Today, people are too distracted by their own troubles & survival than to be concerned about an innocent person (human being) being incarcerated & executed by a corrupt legal system.
This jurisprudence has had centuries of evolution, so you would think that they would've gotten it right by now. And the irony is that they know the system is broken, and yet the government continues to permit States to sentence & execute its citizens. It's as if they really don't care. Sure, they've ordered multiple studies, promised changes, and even slapped on a few band-aids, but the root of the problem still exists, and the innocent lives are ruined. They could be destroying the life of the next Martin Luther King, Jr.; Bill Gates: Princess Di: or President Barack Obama. What if this person has the answer to global warming, or the formula to cure all cancers, and as we speak they're being strapped to an executioner's table with that needle in their arm?
It's funny that I don't cry for myself, but for the people trying to execute me. It reminds me of the words of Jesus Christ during His execution: "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do". In no way do I compare myself to Jesus; it's His executioners in whom I make the comparison to mine. They're reckless, uncaring, self-righteous hypocrites out for their own political capitalistic gains.
I am an innocent man on death row, and I can prove that I am not guilty of the crime I've been convicted of. Right now the courts don't want to hear it, but I won't stop fighting to get them to.
Peace,
Daniel
