SINGING the song from "Beaches",,,You are the wind beneath my wings. The lyrics are powerful so I will post them here. :
Wind Beneath My Wings"
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. It must have been cold there in my shadow, to never have sunlight on your face. You were content to let me shine, that's your way. You always walked a step behind.
So I was the one with all the glory, while you were the one with all the strength. A beautiful face without a name for so long. A beautiful smile to hide the pain.
Did you ever know that you're my hero, and everything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
It might have appeared to go unnoticed, but I've got it all here in my heart. I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it. I would be nothing without you.
Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be. I could fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
Did I ever tell you you're my hero? You're everything, everything I wish I could be. Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, the wind beneath my wings. You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings. Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high. Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings. Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky, so high I almost touch the sky. Thank you, thank you, thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.
I read your post, "Am I Remorseful?", and I'm struck by the articulate and expressive way in which you wrote it. Having seen and heard your statements in court and previously while awaiting trial, your sincerity in your current missives are in stark contrast to those times.
Rather than ask you if you're sorry, I'd rather understand what prompted you to write what you did. Or better yet, what (other than incarceration) has changed in your perception of personal responsibility as you reference? Are there programs and services you have now that you have helped you? If so, which ones are most important to you?
Please know I have the utmost respect for what you have expressed and I mean no disrespect by asking these questions. I seek to learn, not condemn. We all, each of us, have to live with the decisions we make.
I'm not sure what is happening with the site. It seems as though things are uploaded (your letters) and sent out once every two weeks or so.
I know that my response to you waited three weeks to go out - they originally thought that they would send them out once a week. But I can see when they go out (they put the date on them and say that the response has been sent) - and now you tell me that it went to an old address.
I think that most of what happens is through the original folks who created the site. The idea was that they would get a lot of volunteers - but I don't know if that is happening.
I actually used to live down the street from where they are located (I lived close to MIT). But now I'm a few states away (or I'd love to volunteer).
People still read what is sent in - it's just that the mail, I think, has slowed quite a bit.
I hope they continue to find a way to do this (or find a way for someone else to do it). I think it's a pretty important way for people to communicate.

troubling at best.

I did, in fact, peruse the terms of service. I don't think I violated ANY terms.
Feel free to cite where I'm wrong.
As to what the "intent" of BTB is....I guess that depends on the audience.
I would recommend you take a step back and take a big dose of STFU.

Seems a bit contradictory...........polite and ignorant (discourteous or rude).
