It's long and unfortunately it's a fake.

Willie Lynch never existed and highly regarded historians have shown that the letter is the figment of some ones imagination. Dr. Jelani Cobb and Dr. Manu Ampim (who has written a book on the subject)are just two of them.

cpadilla I respectfully disagree. The position of Public Defender in itself is not evil, its the low pay, dealing with defendants with no money, having a philosophical methodology they stick to all the time, and not a great preparation for trial seem to be something they share in common.

How can a lawyer that has 20-40x the case load be expected to represent well.

Also why do public defenders continuously get worse deals then private counsel.

Also why are the winning statistics different. Why do private counsel win substantially more then public defenders. I think it's a combination of: overworking, low pay, high pessimism, usually worse educated and younger then private lawyers etc etc. So The list is long.

So yes A defendant does get to feel betrayed if the public defender doesn't assist anywhere nearly as good as a private lawyer and doesn't even pretend to want to do so.

Wow thats very very deep. I can't believe that happened.

I don't know why your worried about shooting sprees in a public place. Theres luckily pretty rare. We have had mass shootings in school's and those make the news but that will not apply to you. (but do give kids safety tips if got forbid they believe something has happens at there school: such as stay calm and find an adult)

Serial Killers do exist but they usually target specific individuals like women, or the elderly.
But again the probability is in the thousand's of percent.

Most shootings do probably happen because of conflicts between gangs and drugs.

Wow you really are at peace with your environment.

And that's scary to say for being in Prison for such a long time, but is a great thing.

Did you become very religious, or is this an effective way of serving the sentence?

Is this based on something you know or heard
or you decided to create a fictional story?

I'm from Philadelphia but I don't know if there's another way of writing without providing a direct address. If they print out all responses to the comments and you can read them then I think that's all that matters (Since you can read them).

Wow that's not something i'd expect. It's obvious that prison is portrait as violent, so most people would think that inmates wouldn't want to change that.

Good to know that this is not accurate.

Thanks For Writing

I always wondered why prison has to be the horrible portrail that it is. For example why couldn't the inmates create the environment where everyone made the best of there stay and treated as an alternate lifestyle.

Maybe it's to idealistic, but is it only the lack of freedom that is the punishment of being in prison or is it mostly, because criminals are there?

If it's the first then I understand. If its the 2nd then I don't get why all the inmates can't think of making it a decent environment.

Does it really have to be hell or can someone live it the way an ordinary person lives life without all the freedom a non inmate has?
