I see that you acknowledged the message I conveyed that although you are physically caged, your mind is free! Looking forward to your next book. Love Ummi
Hello John! I just looked and then I found. You. Good to know you're still alive and kicking. Me too. Life has never been the same since that day for you and many others. Life for me got broke the day mg died. I talk about him everyday because I cannot seem to heal...to move on. His son turns 30 this december and I still live on the edge of that too. Maybe it seems crazy to you that I have physical freedom but chained up inside mentally. Idk. I strive to be honest with myself about my life but theres so much deep deep crap inside. Well, I don't want to present someone I am not. I just couldn't see your signature and read your papers without saying something. you know how to reach me. love kathy
Hey Nephew! I'm sorry it took so long to look you up on these blogs! I agree with what you are saying, and one day maybe we will be regarded for all of the contributions we have made to this society instead of being called lazy, shiftless, and unworthy of being called men and women as equals of the Caucasian race. We are in a struggle for this matters now here in the Ferguson, Missouri area, as I am sure you have heard about what's going on here. I live very near to the area where everything is happening. My pastor, Reverend Traci Blackmon is one of the leading pastors who is leading the way in these protest marches and meetings with the officials in charge. We are now waiting for the grand jury's decision to come down, and I hope it is good news for us. Talk to you later! AuntySharon
Makes me sad every single time that I read it, even when you don't even think I care about you as much as I really do. Almost 3:00 AM and this is what I'm doing much of the time, trying to be closer to you than I ever have been to anyone. I don't ever ask you about it because I know that it hurts you enough to think about it. I know you have feelings. You don't have to be a monster to do something that society deems monstrous. Child molestation is far more of an atrocity than anything you have ever done, I promise you this. I miss you so much. Just trying to survive right now. xo
When we are kids everything is pure and exciting. Depending on thseeds we sow, adulthood can be beautiful also. Patience is the key. A new reality check!
I'm feeling this Quatrain/rhyme scheme. Intense and personal. Your mentality is on display, along with your love... Truthwriter? Keep burning fam! Keith Papyrus
Zakee, Thank you for giving me the URL to your blog. This is a profound piece. I am grateful every Saturday morning when I go in to San Quentin to do our VOEG group together that I am doing it with you: you are always thoughtful, caring deeply, straightforward and clear. You have a depth of experience that you are constantly giving to all kinds of people, including these people you have been training from outside the prison. It's an honor and a privilege to be working with you. I often have that sinking feeling, amounting sometimes to a sense of horror, as I go in to the prison through those heavy clanging metal doors, and yet when I come out I have been feeling exhilarated or elated almost every time as a result of our group. Keith...this has to be, HANDS DOWN, the best poem I have come across on here! This poem describes EXACTLY how my childhood was, even down to the peanut butter and fluff sandwiches! The carefree days of being a child and not having a care in the world! Thanks for taking me back to those days! NICELY DONE AND GREAT WORK! BRAVO!
