Tim, WOW! As I sat here reading this wonderful story I find myself crying! It was as if I was right there with you, seeing all the sites you spoke about through your eyes. Their anger is displaced on those they force themselves to view as less than. This can lead to suicide and murder. The internal stockpile of hatred anger and despair has to burst out someday."
Has the penny finally dropped? I tried to explain that your bile was eating you alive but I could not explain the reasoning as eloquently as you. Perhaps this self-realisation may help you let go of your self hate before one of the two options you give occur. As an inmate convicted of manslaughter I fear we know the most likely scenario.
I pray for the safety of DOC employees and inmates!
It is true that the past cannot be changed, but no one is sentenced to hell while still alive on earth. No one is ever on his own. God is there by your side and waits for your arrival in heaven when it is time. Each day is a new day with a new beginning. You are doing much good on earth with your tutoring, self-improvement plan, and your writing. And remember, God does not make junk.
