Hi James,

I am 57, single, Catholic and I live in North Italy. As you told me that it would be cool to learn a little about my country, I will tell you something about it.

Although Italy was unified in 1861 there are still differences between its twenty provinces.
Mainly the differences are seen between the regions of the north, those of the center and those of the south. The northern regions are more industrialized and wealthier.
However, in the northern regions there are not only industries and companies, there are also beautiful historic cities that have interesting monuments.
The main and largest city in northern Italy is Milan which has 1.4 million inhabitants.
Milan is also the economic center of the whole of Italy, it is certainly the most important Italian city from an economic and financial point of view.
Geographically, North Italy is divided in two parts, in the northernmost part, on the border with France, Switzerland and Austria, there are mountain ranges (the Alps with the highest mountain in Europe, Mont Blanc).
The central part of Northern Italy is flat, there is a large plain crossed by the river Po.
Historically, Northern Italy has been divided for centuries into three states: the kingdom of Piedmont, the Duchy of Milan and the republic of Venice.

Before the global financial crisis of 2008/2009, the local Government provided good services, especially in Northern Italy, but since then things have gotten worse. Previously the health service was excellent, now you have to wait months for a medical examination.

I've told you something about northern Italy, maybe, if you're interested, in the next messages, I'll tell you about central and southern Italy.

In your letter you said that you are a big fan of Japan, why are you so attracted to this country?
I haven't travelled a lot, I've seen many places in my country and some places in other European countries, but I've never had the opportunity to go to another continent.

Now I finish this first letter, I hope you enjoyed reading it, I send you my best regards.
Alberto

Hubert.

Re: The last paragraph of your letter.
You wrote: “ I need to get back to work, collecting statements in memorium for people who knew ‘Whispers’. So far despite enthusiasm to talk about him, getting anyone to put it on paper is like herding cats. ‘

Again using this man’s untimely death as fodder for your narcissistic ramblings.
Your ‘epitaph’ to him was insulting. Horribly insulting.
You insulted this man in his death and inappropriately in the manner of it.
You cooed and squirmed with delight at the manner I took offence to this. Even trying to compare yourself to Oscar Wilde and other famous wits?
You are none of these people. And you never will be.
Here’s a tip, from someone who writes for a living. In an ‘epitaph’ YOU NEVER INSULT THE DECEASED.

THIS MAN HAS FIVE CHILDREN,HE HAS FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO READ THIS AND OTHERS BLOGS. FOUR CHILDREN NOW WHO HAVE LOST A FATHER. THEY WILL PROBABLY REREAD HIS BLOGS OVER THE YEARS, HIS GRANDKIDS TOO. PROBABLY HIS GREAT GRANDKID KIDS IF BTB EXIST IN THE FUTURE.

And they will read your ‘epitaph’, your spiteful, toxic, bitchy, poisonous laced diatribe of someone you once spent time with in jail. Maybe he didn’t like you. But hey, when he’s dead, you get to knock him , because you didn’t have the guts to do it when he was alive. And you did knock him didn’t you? Gave his character a good slap, slapped his efforts too, put him on the ground so anyone following his blog could see some conflated person you lied about, just in case they liked him, or thought what he wrote was good. Did you read Father John’s response to you? No, you haven’t have you? Get one of your friends to forward that. You screwed up Hubert. In a very nasty way.
Save your ire for the cops you caught you. Leave people alone. Especially those who grieve. Leave his remaining children, friends and families, memory of their dad and friend alone.
Better still, remove the ‘epitaph’. Leave his memory alone, it doesn’t belong to you.
