I'll write to you ,I know in Florida they stopped u.s. postal service for all prisons. No more stamped mail in or out. I'll definitely send a letter guess I'll find out if it stands true for you. What about jpay? I'll see what I have options for. Thanks for replying. Julianne
Guy, Its forever_kato... I just read one of the comments on this site from "skyscraper" ...thats definitely was NOT me. I was assuming you had a letter from me from a couple of years ago and I had written the same thing and used the name skyscraper and had forgotten. In fact, that was not me who used the name skyscraper....you would have to ask them who they are. I noticed they commented about how sad your story was... it did not sound anything like me at all. Anyway I just wanted to clear that up for you.
Hi Jennifer - Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post. I hope you are doing well. As a former Georgia resident, I appreciate your thoughts on this topic. More lawmakers should take incarcerated people into account when writing legislature, you are correct. I wish you the best.
It is refreshing to read your posts. Even though I have not replied, be assured I read each one. Your wit, vim, and vigor is so refreshing Dymitri. In the glum circumstance of captivity, you always manage to bring a smile to my face. The blame game you speak of in this post, is status quo in our world. Someone has to be to blame! Right? Never could it be me, just a cog in the wheel, a brick in the wall. The justice and corrections systems are so badly in need of reform, but where to start? Each state has particular problems, as does the federal system, so what might we do? Your voice is important Dymitri, and know that it is heard by many (although perhaps only a few hear you sufficiently to pen a reply). Even though your circumstances may color your point of view, know that I believe you have valid and specific concerns that need to be heard. That justice and fairness and above all THE humanity, is given to each human person, especially the vulnerable, and that especially includes those imprisoned. It is well past time that America stand up to her image, that of freedom, and justice, for all. Making the best of your circumstances by writing shows all who read your posts, that we remember our fellow humans we treat so badly (or at best indifferently) in the correctional system. Take hope Dymitri, your day will come and you will walk free as a valued member of society.
It is unfortunate that this bill failed. Oversight is sorely needed for the justice and correction systems of every state. Your oversight of the legislature of Mississippi is impressive and helpful, since so often, failed bills do not make the news (at least nationally). Thank you for your continued service to your fellow inmates. It is people like you that holds out hope for the rest of humanity. In a troubled world, you are like a bright light glowing in the darkness. Stay bright brother!
I was sorry to hear that your last parole hearing was denied. This note is an encouragement to keep hope alive that your next parole hearing will be successful. Your art is a clear sign of the power of reformation and a signal of your creative talent, a talent you can use outside your confinement. I appreciate your humanity, James, and I will continue to pray for you to attain parole.
This is wonderful news! After looking for your son all these years, in the end it was him that found you! Many people have helped you scour the internet for his presence, and finally your prayers have been answered. I am very happy for you and hope that he sees your message. Good for you! No, great for you! My prayers are that he opens the door to a greater role in his life for you.
