Hi Daniel, Of all the posts I've read on Btb, I don't often see people giving advice to others & if they do, it's usually followed by a negative comment, devaluing their words (like who am I to give advice in my situation).

The strength in your words, your qualified opinion struck me today. I think posts like this could help young people going down the wrong road & I'd love to see more of this positive strength in this space. I hope you are well Daniel, you're often in my thoughts my friend. Take care x

hey hey Kelly,

That's been a very long time we talked! I had to renew my password too. I reread a letter of yours. My hair color? i'm red haired normally but with the age it became auburn, which I loved! Now I use henna, that's natural en feeds the hair. I now go for another style of hair: a carré cut. Says you enough?
Have you heard from martine?
You read why we stopped contact?
I've many new friends since!

How about you, dear friend?? I received the news you would chhange places? A better place for you to stay, i hope! People were so mean to you because of you being gay!!That'z so very low...
You had such hard times I read. All by ignorence.
I miss your letters though. Your 4 clover is still laying here and hopefully it brings luck; to me and George.
Let me explain some. The man who had the interview with him and Jessica returned to the other 14 jury members. He made one by one warm to give their pro vote for him. One member even said: 'I'd like George to be my neighbor'.:))
Then a law center would look for help to him as a ex-prisoner. Then they looked for the exact person to do the psychological and health test. As they last had a person(woman) who taked with George about politics! So the test wasn't valid. He had to come back in a year...
Now I heard they found that person, but he couldn't come right away. So we have to wait longer then end September/beginning Oktober to hear the final result. I hold my heart.
You knew George was offered a job by the boss of his dad, did you?
The same job. His dad turned lately 91! I called him.;)

George has now a good friend, William.I met this man in Galesburg, through another man I slightly knew, Ray, a black. They live in the same apartment. He has a PhD in Psychology and Science.Like George has a bachelor of Science as well.
William writes with George and helps him! He says George has a gift in writing! And he should use it! He also follows now a writing course. He'd like to move to Canada. He's a nice fellow and a good friend of both of us now.
I just came home from my Italian course. I dance Zumba now; do you know it? I get sweating from it!! In another group I follow another semi Zumba with carol; She had cancer and speaks Flemisch with a NICE AMERICAN accent!:))) Still go to my yoga group as well.
I'd like to hear how all goes in your life, Kelly???

Sweet hug from Rita xxx

Hi Bill, that was a good letter! I ran across a quote I wanted to share which kinda relates:

"Don't go moaning and moping around and saying, ‘There is no goal for this universe’ and don't go moping around and saying, ‘Nobody appreciates what I'm doing,’ because the truth of the matter is, this universe is too strong and too forceful and too powerful from a standpoint of (Physical Universe) force to permit it to happen.

“The only thing which you see out here in this universe, that is worth seeing, is what you and people like you have put into it to perceive back.” LRH

Best, Joe R.

Hi Ronnie,

I really enjoy reading your daily journals and keeping up with how you are doing. I can certainly relate to you as I have osteoarthritis and 4 herniated discs in my back. It is very painful!! I finally found a medicine that helps quite a bit, it is called Meloxicam. You might want to ask the Doctor there to prescribe it for you. It is an anti-inflammatory so since it is not a narcotic or anything, they might prescribe it for you. I am so glad that you and your Ann found each other again. It is nice to have someone to love!! It seems you have not heard from that mental case Paul lately. This is good and lets hope it stays that way!! F.Y.I, some of the pages in your journals lately, have been appearing upside down so they can't be read. You might want to mention this to BTB. Anyway, I will include you in my prayers and keep your head up and keep fighting for your rights!!

Best Regards,
Karen

Don't you feel that this woman has been totally immersed in this case for 20 years such as to have been able to "evaluate all aspects of the process"

The fact is that it was James and FIVE friends who mercilessly attacked Edward, who was 22 not 17 years old, and rendered him unconscious before James crushed his skull, like an eggshell, with a baseball bat. This has required her to endlessly relive the murder through court cases, appeals and parole hearings in the five cases that were prosecuted successfully. Where is the opportunity for healing there?

Joe Donovan did not kill anyone but Steven James did. Now she has to go through the possibility of parole for James! She is stoic and will go forward and attend the parole hearing in order to speak for her son who cannot speak for himself and perhaps the board can "propose a saving way for this afflicted woman"
