Hello dear Xzyzst, so it's 20th today, and if I read your lovely handwriting right, it's your birthday, hieperdepiep... hurray! hurray! hurray! (that was the Dutch way). That book was me. I had Jericho Brown on my radar for some time, and now he also won the Pulitzer. He is black, gay and Hiv-positive, and a lovely presence. I am really happy to have your news (of 13 july, at least...)! Life is okay over here. Big big hug, x Ju
Quick note in case they do mail tomorrow - I should get a card or letter out this week. Just depressed - no desire to do anything! But I think I’m getting past it finally. Nothing much really happens here - we are quite rural - no big cities (or small ones, for that matter). There have been some shootings but they’re isolated incidents - not like what the media tells you. Our day-to-day life hasn’t changed much - except now we have to start wearing masks to grocery shop. Stupid I love you - I’m worried about you - your health - I feel so helpless.... Love, love, love... Your Jeannie
Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post.
That is rough. Even for an old post, this irks me too. They robbing you, man of what you need. Not just you, but everyone else in the prison. You're right, it is shameful for them to do that. But such is the system.

Wow...I am astonished and disappointed at the administration. But what can you do? You made a good letter and I think you got the point across very well. I know it's an old post, but hey, it highlights an important factor of prison life.
Your welcome.
Stay safe and healthy, my guy.

Damn. I hear ya. Some of these words would have been great at this point. But what can you do?
Stay safe and healthy.
